About Andre Marrou
Andrew Verne Marrou (; December 4, 1938) is an American politician who served in the Alaska House of Representatives from the 5th district as a member of the Libertarian Party from 1985 to 1987. He was the Libertarian vice-presidential nominee in the 1988 election and presidential nominee in the 1992 election. Marrou was born in Nixon, Texas, and educated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He lived in Massachusetts until he moved to Alaska in 1973. He joined the Alaska Libertarian Party in 1976, and became its vice chair. He unsuccessfully sought a seat in the state house in 1982, before being elected in 1984, but lost reelection.
