He has received numerous accolades, including AACTA/AFI Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role (for the 1986's Malcolm) and Best Lead Actor in a Television Drama (for Nine Network's Halifax f.p.), two Helpmann Awards for Best Male Actor in a Play, and two Logie Awards.
