About Jackson Scholz
Jackson Volney Scholz was an American sprinter and author. In the 1920s, he became the first person to appear in a sprint final in three different Olympic Games. While still competing in track and field, he began a 50-year career as a popular author, primarily of juvenile sports fiction. Late in life, he was portrayed in the award-winning film about the 1924 Olympics, Chariots of Fire (1981).
