About Kalyn Ponga
Kalyn Ponga (born 30 March 1998) is a professional rugby league footballer who captains and plays as a fullback for the Newcastle Knights in the National Rugby League and Queensland in the State of Origin series. He is the recipient of the 2023 Dally M Medal. Ponga previously played for the North Queensland Cowboys in the NRL. At representative level, he has played for New Zealand Māori and Queensland in the State of Origin series. He has also played as a five-eighth and debuted on the wing.
