About Marc-Adélard Tremblay
Marc-Adélard Tremblay, (24 April 1922 – 20 March 2014) was a Canadian anthropologist. Born in Les Éboulements, Quebec, he was educated at Université de Montréal, Université Laval, and Cornell University. He was a Professor of Anthropology at the Université Laval and was Dean of the Graduate School from 1971 to 1979. From 1981 to 1984, he was the President of the Royal Society of Canada. He was the founding president of the Association of Canadian Universities for Northern Studies (ACUNS).
