Rashard Jamal Mendenhall (born June 19, 1987) is an American former professional football player who was a running back for six seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Illinois Fighting Illini and was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the 2008 NFL draft. He won Super Bowl XLIII with the Steelers. He also played for the Arizona Cardinals. After his career, he became a writer for the television series Ballers.
